'Bitter pill to swallow': Afghan coach Trott after Aus snatch victory
Afghanistan's coach, Jonathan Trott, criticized Glenn Maxwell's double century as a "bitter pill to swallow" as Australia reclaimed a World Cup victory. Afghanistan had already won over England, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, and were on the cusp of another significant success. However, the turning point came when Afghanistan's fielder Mujeeb Ur Rahman dropped a catch when Maxwell was on just 33 runs. Maxwell scored an unbeaten 201 runs, becoming the third batsman in World Cup history to achieve a double hundred, following Martin Guptill of New Zealand and Chris Gayle of the West Indies.
